Head of Mykolaiv oblast administration hides from journalists

Journalists from Mykolaiv oblast are complaining about the new head of Oblast State Administration. According to correspondent of Mykolaiv oblast state TV and Radio company and journalist of the 5 Channel Natalia Prykhodko, the new head Oleksiy Savchenko ignores reporters and doesn't give comments or interviews.

"It is not the first time when Governor simply ignores correspondents at the filming (though, OSA press service actively sends invitations to journalists). It becomes harder to get any comment ... Television is not the newspaper, it needs speakers (people who give comment on camera). It is impossible to get interview from Oleksiy Savchenko! Today, 5 TV channels and two dozens journalists were waiting for press kit at the regular press event. In response - silence. Journalists asked for new head attention but saw only his back and backs of his assistants. Without any comments. With all due respect to the Head, but it is not how it should be,"- Prykhodko wrote in Facebook and confirmed the information to the IMI representative.

Many journalists from Mykolaiv oblast admit that the new head of Mykolaiv oblast state administration is closed for journalists. 

In response, the head's press secretary Anastasiya Tkach said that press kits or briefings are conducted when they are specified in the announcement of the event.

"As for the press conference - we already have answered on some questions from your colleagues. I publish this additionally: We will notice in advance about the time and venue of the Oleksiy Savchenko press conference. Please follow the OSA press service announcements. In relation to the comments for television and speakers - today's workshop had enough speakers, in particular - profile deputy of the OSA head and the newly elected heads of JTC. Please, respect the work of Oleksiy Yuriyovych and his busy schedul," - the press secretary of the Head of Mykolayiv Oblast State Administration said.
