Hanna Bychok says that her order is not about censorship

Acting chairman of the Board of Public Joint Stock "National Public Broadcasting Company of Ukraine" (NPBCU) Hanna Bychok explained that the order on placing the information in the media, governs only the question of economic activity of PJS" NPBCU" about its trade secrets, and there is no way, it establishes restrictions and standards of journalists in the company. Hanna Bychok told about it to "Suspilne movlenia" outlet.

According to her the signing of the order is due to several reasons, and none of them are related to censorship. She noted that if the Supervisory Board of NPBCU has different view on this issue, - she will cancel the order. 

"First, it is a reminder to employees of NPBCU on existing rules which are reflected in the collective agreement and the terms of which effect the relationship between employees and the administration of PJS" NPBCU". The agreement establishes that information about the activities of PJS" NPBCU" can be spread only after agreement of the head,"- she said. Secondly, she said, it is a reminder of the responsibility of public service broadcasters on the conditions regarding contracts related to foreign economic activities."

"I emphasize that the decree regulates exclusively the issue of economic activity of PJSC NSTU for its trade secrets, and in any case does not set limits and standards of journalists broadcaster.
