Hackers took over video surveillance system of 061’s editorial office, played in office USSR hymn

30.07.2017, 18:46
On Friday, July 14, unidentified hackers took over the video surveillance system in the editorial office of the website 061.ua, the media outlet reported. The incident took place at the end of the workday. According to the data of 061, the camera of the video surveillance system in the editorial office began playing the hymn of the Soviet Union. The system was hacked by unidentified persons. After the Soviet hymn, the camera played several more songs, and then the administrators blocked off the intrusion into the system. As the editor of 061.ua Tetiana Honchenko believes the hack can be related to the website’s pro-Ukrainian stance or it could be some idle hackers trying to entertain themselves.
