Hackers attacked Luhansk website "Polityka 2.0"
On May 13, a Luhansk website “Polityka 2.0” underwent a DDoS attack. Since morning there were problems with access to the website, and in several hours the hosting provider's tech support confirmed that the website's server was under a DDoS attack. They managed to block the attack's source and restore access to the website. The website's editorial office believes such attacks may occur again, as in the recent days there have been short-term problems in the website's operation. And on the eve of May 12 there was an attempt to gain access to its database and to destroy its publications archive. Their hosting provider informed them several times about attempts to guess the password to the website's administration panel.
For the context, on May 4 in Luhansk during the meeting between the public, the city leaders, and representatives of people that captured the administrative buildings in Luhansk, pro-Russian activists were obstructing the work of the “Polityka 2.0” journalist Daryna Shatalova, threatened her and finally forced her to leave the meeting.
