On August 4, the Moscow Arbitration Court dismissed the lawsuit filed by Google LLC against Roskomnadzor, challenging an order to block 12 videos on YouTube. The video footages from the Youtube channel of the dissident and politician Aleksey Navalny announced protest rally. Russian watchdog said the video incited minors to participate in unsanctioned rallies, as Russian Interfax reported.

"The court dismisses the stated claims," as the judge said.

As IMI reported, for the first time, the US company Google LLC sued the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Communications (Roskomnadzor). Google is challenging Roskomnadzor's request to take down 12 links to so-called illegal content on YouTube.

In April, Russia's media and telecommunications agency (Roskomnadzor) demanded that YouTube video hosting services  took down the video posted on Yuutube channel of the opposition politician Aleksei Navalny announcing an unauthorized rally on April 21.
