Gerashchenko: Russia is behind Sheremet murder

Investigators believe that the murder of journalist Pavel Sheremet was implemented by diversionary-terrorist center in the Russian Federation. MP Anton Gerashchenko stated this on Jan. 23 at a press conference in Kyiv, "Ukrainska Pravda" says.

"The Security Service of Ukraine prevented assassination attempt on me. This attempt is just another one in a chain of terrorist acts. These acts are done by sabotage-terrorist center established in the territory of Russian Federation with the task: to employ only citizens of Ukraine, usually with criminal records and who hate our country. These people with brains washed by Russian propaganda will organize crimes in our country,"- he said.

"As of today, believe with 99.9% that assassination is done by the same diversionary-terrorist center in the Russian Federation that murder a prominent journalist Pavel Sheremet in July 2016. This assumption is based upon patterns and preparation of a terrorist act on my elimination," -  MP said.
