02.12.2014, 01:18

Russian special services issue to their journalists forged IDs for working in Ukraine. The advisor for the Security Service of Ukraine, Markiyan Lubkivskyi, wrote about this on his Facebook page.

"Recently on the territory of Zakarpatska oblast, Russian journalists, a filming crew of the program «Vesti» of the TV channel «Russia 24», on assignment of the editorial office of the TV channel «RTR», were preparing a video story on «abuse of Russian-speaking citizens of Ukraine in the mentioned oblast centers, and abuse of the Hungarian minority of Zakarpattia, attempts of Ukrainian authorities to present them as separatists and extremists». At that, they were provided with cover-up documents which accredit them as journalists of the Finnish channel «MTV-3»…", he wrote.

He also mentioned that a journalist of the Russian «First channel», introducing himself as a Belorussian journalist, was preparing a TV story in Khmelnytska oblast about "facts of abuse against Russian-speaking population in the region… ".

As IMI informed earlier, the Security Service of Ukraine banned entrance to the country for 83 Russian journalists. Their previous activities in Ukraine are construed by the authorities as supporting terrorism.
