French photographer wounded near Sloviansk

On May 24, a French photographer-stringer, William Roguelon, sustained an injury to his legs during the mortaring in the village of Andriyivka near Sloviansk, Donetsk oblast. According to his account of the events to AFP, he was in Andriyivka riding in a car together with the Italian journalist Andy Rocchelli and his translator, when they heard several AK rounds. They left the car and hid in a ditch. About 40 to 60 shells fell near them, and one hit the ditch they were hiding in. He was wounded on both legs, and his colleagues were killed. Roguelon does not know who was firing at them. Local dwellers helped him get to a hospital in Sloviansk.
