Four persons injured in attack on "Rodina" newspaper in Stavropol (Russia)

Today, in Stavropol (Russia), around 11.00 a.m. an unknown person attacked with a knife the employees of the “Rodina” (Fatherland) newspaper published by the Communist Party. Four people were injured. The attacker demanded to publish an article about Joseph Stalin, as the Stavropol city council member Viktor Lozovy told to Interfax news agency. "He demanded us to publish his article about Stalin. When he was told that the board was to consider this issue, he took out a hunting knife and attacked the editor-in-chief ", - said Lozovy. According to him, the attacker is about 70 years old. "We providedd first aid to injured persons, called an ambulance. The editor-in-chief Mykola Bondarenko was taken to the emergency room, where he received stitches. He got an facial wound", - added Loozovy. He told, other persons got moderately severe and trivial severity, they refused to be taken to the hospital. The press officer of the Ministry of the interior of Russia said the assaulter was detained.
