For the first time, there are more Ukrainian users in Facebook than in VKontakte

The social network Facebook for the first time beat its Russian competitor VKontakte by the number of Ukrainian users. This data is provided by research for June of 2017, conducted by the organization Factum Group Ukraine on request of the Internet Association of Ukraine, “Voice of America” reports.

According to the research, VKontakte still holds a strong position, only a little behind Facebook, yet the number of its visitors from Ukraine went down compared to previous months, due to the ban imposed on May 17 by the National Council of Security and Defense of Ukraine and the President of Ukraine on some Russian services, including Vkontakte, Yandex and Mail.ru.
