For second time police dismissed case on beating of ZOV editor in chief

In Dnipro the police dismissed for the second tome the proceedings over the fact of beating of civil activist and journalist Vsevolod Novokhatko, as to Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty. Vsevolod Novokhatko told he would appeal against this decision in court due to numerous breaches of the procedure. In particular, Vsevolod Novokhatko told the ruling to dismiss the case had been issued one month and a half ago, but he, in quality of claimant had not been informed of it. IMI informed, on May 24th, 2018 in Dnipro, a group of young aggressive persons assaulted Vsevolod Novokhatko, civil activist and editor in chief of the web-based edition ZOV (Law unic for everyone, Zakon odyn dlya vsikh). The victim claimed the attack was related to his professional activity. On October 31st, 2018 the proceedings was dismissed by investigator and claimant failed to be informed of it. Than Babushkinsky district court in Dnipro revoked this decision to dismiss the case.
