FM tower to broadcast in Crimea opens in January

10.01.2017, 13:03

Construction of the radio tower designed for FM-broadcasting in Crimea kicked off on the administrative border with the Russian-occupied peninsula are planning to complete by the end of January 2017. Hulnara Bekirova, the deputy chairman of Henichesk District Administration, commented to QHA.

"Construction works are going to complete approximately this month. Speaking in Crimea is extremely important. It is essential that our people in Crimea feel that we are together, we are with them and think about them day and night. It is necessary that they feel this support. This is another important step towards de-occupation of the Crimea," - Hulnara Bekirova said.

As QHA reported earlier, the second section of the 150 meters height tower was established on December 2. The FM tower will broadcast Ukrainian channels and provide radiocast for Ukrainian radio stations on the territory of Crimea annexed by the Russian Federation.
