EU Ambassador to Ukraine, Katarina Mathernova, paid a visit to the Institute of Mass Information’s regional hub Mediabaza Poltava and met with the hub’s manager Nadia Kucher.
Nadia Kucher expressed gratitude for the EU Delegation’s comprehensive and consistent support for Ukrainian journalists.
The operations of the Institute of Mass Information’s regional hub network Mediabaza are funded by the European Union.
Kucher also spoke to Ms Mathernova about Mediabaza Poltava’s work amid an energy crisis.
In particular, Nadia Kucher said EU support enabled journalists to continue working even during prolonged blackouts and disruptions to mobile connection and internet access, since Mediabaza Poltava is equipped with autonomous power supply, the necessary equipment, safety gear, and first aid kits.
Katarina Mathernova thanked the media professionals for continuing to do their job and reporting despite all the challenges brought on by the full-scale war.
