Editor-in-chief of Poltava-based online media outlet now wanted

28.07.2017, 13:53
The editor-in-chief of the online media outlet «Ostanniy Bastion» Hennadiy Sikalov was declared wanted on July 26 as a suspect in the case of gross fraud. This was reported by the press service of the Chief Department of National Police in Poltavska oblast. As IMI reported before, Hennadiy Sikalov in early July reported that he was allegedly under pressure due to investigation of the crimes of the National Police and the prosecutor's office of Poltava region. Hennadiy Sikalov was notified about being a suspect by the local Chief Department of National Police. Sikalov himself on his website informed that the criminal case against him is fake, and that police officers threaten his family members. The media outlet «Ostanniy Bastion» is known in Poltava for regular lobbying of the interests of the media outlet's owner and head of the NGO "Ostanniy Bastion," who had political ambitions. It often publishes materials in violation of the standards of journalism, for example, the following: План «А» прогорів, Антинародний Фронт перейшов до плану «Б» У Полтавській ОДА обшуки: Пісоцький кришував корупційні схеми Головко пішов на парк «Перемоги»: вирізають усе, крім чортового колеса
