On May 25, human rights advocates won in the court of appeal of Kharkivska oblast the case of Tetiana Syromyatnikova in her conflict with her local authorities, which illegally fired her from the position of an editor of the communal newspaper “Pechenizkyi Karai” twice. This information was published on the website of Kharkiv Advocacy Group. On March 16, she was fired for failure to produce the scheduled newspaper issue, yet the reason for such failure was delay in commissioning funds for this purpose by local authorities.
