17.03.2015, 00:12

In the town of Netishyn, Khmelnytska oblast, Olha Moroz, a 44-year old editor-in-chief of “Netishynsky Visnyk,” was found dead in her apartment. This was reported on the website of the Chief Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Khmelnytska oblast. Olha was found by her sister in the morning of March 15.

The police reported that they found no evidence of foul play. They will be able to say anything on the cause of death only after forensic medical examination.

Moroz' colleague, Natalia Koval reported that the body had evidence of a violent death. Accorindg to Koval, Moroz together with Tetiana Onisimchuk was preparing a material on illegal cutting of woods for sale.

The forensic medical examination found a fracture in Moroz' occipital bone, which caused the swelling of the brain and death. According to the medical examiners, the fracture could have been either caused by a fall or delivered by another person. So, the police launched a criminal investigation of Moroz' death. Preliminary inspection showed that some valuables disappeared from her apartment so the police considers the possibility of a murder out of greed or in connection to her professional activities. Accordin to her colleagues, she did not mention any threats or conflicts that might have connections to her death.
