ECHR has to deliver its decision on Sentsov case

The hearings at the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) within the case of Ukrainian director Oleg Sentsov who had been convicted by Russia for terrorist attack has been completed. Further step will be decision that ECHR is to deliver within this case-law, as it was reported on June 18 by the head of the international human rights group "Agora" Pavlo Chikov, as to Gordon . The lawyers of "Agora" represent Sentsov and Kolchenko before before the ECHR. "Oleg Sentsov and Olexander Kolchenko contested the position of the Russian authorities in their case, they rejected any amicable agreement, fully confirm the complaints arguments. Hereon, the hearings are over. The next step is decision to be delivered by ECHR, "Chikov said. Oleg Sentsov was arrested in Simferopol in May 2014. On August 25, 2015, the North Caucasian District Military Court sentenced Oleg Sentsov to 20 years, accusing him of terrorism. Oleg Sentsov is serving his sentence in the penal colony №8 "White Bear" of the city of Labitnangi of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous district of the Russian Federation. On May 2018, Sentsov went on hunger strike demanding to release of all political prisoners. He refused to eat for 145 days and announced the end of the hunger strike on October 6, 2018, because of the threat of forced feeding. On October 2018, ECHR admitted an application of Oleg Sentsov, who complained torures in custody in Russia in 2014.
