During session of election committee in Ternopil, they tried to remove journalist from room

30.10.2015, 01:38

During the session of Ternopil election committee, its members attempted to expel from the room an observer of Civil Network "OPORA." "OPORA" representative Ihor Protsyk reported to IMI about this case.

According to him, he witnessed a case, when during the session of Ternopil election committee an unknown man brought to the room a package resembling the packages with sealed forms for the polling records (protocols) of the election committees.

Protsyk started recording this, and the man hid behind a curtain, and the committee head started obstructing the recording. The committee members started pushing Protsyk out of the room, and tried to expel him. A quarrel ensued, where the journalist was blamed for "not letting the committee work", at that committee members refused to explain the nature of the package and the identity of the man who brought it. Protsyk called police to the site, investigation is pending.
