The State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting fired Rodion Miroshnyk from the position of the director general of Luhansk Oblast State TV and Radio Company and terminated his contract prematurely. The decision was taken according to the results of the monitoring due to constant lack of balance in the news coverage on Luhansk Oblast TV.
Miroshnyk was accused of murky relations between the Oblast State TV and Radio Company and local businesses. Besides, there were several attempts to take him to court for Ukrainophobic statements.
