Dnipropetrovsk website BuroUA sues city council and Oblast State Administration for giving excuses instead of information

On March 16, the editorial office of the journalist investigations project BuroUA (Dnipropetrovsk) filed claims to Babushkinskyi rayon court (the defendant is Dnipropetrovsk city council) and District Administrative court (defendant is the capital construction administration of the Oblast State Administration), with a demand to adjudge the actions of the mayor's office and oblast state administration that refused to answer the information requests sent to them by the BuroUA editor. 
This information was published on the project’s website. The request in question was about public funds spent for "content of underground road-crossing" – the editor asked to specify the works conducted and the amount of funds spent. The city council refused to provide this information, as it would require "additional special calculations".
The media outlet representatives comment that such claims are needed for the journalist community to break the custom of misconstruing the laws at convenience of the authorities.
