Dnipropetrovsk city election committee could not be accessed with journalist ID
Journalists were not allowed to attend the session of Dnipropetrovsk election committee, even if they presented their IDs, as IMI learned from Denys Davydov, "Opora" network’s observer.
According to him, on September 12, at 8 p.m., Dnipropetrovsk city election committee was supposed to have a session the observers wanted to attend. Yet, the security guard at the entrance said he would let anyone in only if they were picked up personally by a member of the committee in question. The journalist IDs were not something that could help them get in for the session. The security guard did not even let the journalist to access the information board inside, which was supposed to be posted in a public place. Even some members of the committee had trouble getting in due to such strict access control measures.
The observers who were unable to be present at the session, called police and documented the circumstances in an official complaint.
