Dnipro: SBU detains a manager of separatist groups in social media

The SBU detained a Dnipro resident who led active anti-Ukrainian propaganda in social media.

In 2014, a representative of the branch of a Russian IT-company through the Internet got acquainted with so-called DNRLNR terrorists, who are fighting at the East of the country.

Performing the tasks of terrorists, the criminal created and maintained groups in social media, where he discredited the Ukrainian government and spread information about inciting national hatred and South-East regions of Ukraine joining the RF. The terrorists’ accomplice gathered and handed over information about social and political situation in Dnipropetrovsk region.

In the process of searches, the SBU officers confiscated from the detainee computer equipment with evidence of criminal activity.

The criminal case was initiated under Part 2 Article 110 (trespass against territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The investigative procedures are under way.
