Dmytro Pletenchuk is re-appointed spokesperson for UAF Naval Forces
Chief of strategic communications of the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine, Dmytro Pletenchuk, announced that he had been re-appointed spokesman for the UAF Naval Forces.
He announced this on Facebook on June 11.
He said that his secondment to the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine as the head of the Center for Strategic Communications and the group's spokesperson has ended.
"This was planned from the beginning. Please do not look for any double meanings or 'treachery'. I fulfilled my function as a 'crisis manager' and went back to my duties as spokesman for the UAF Navy," he wrote.
As IMI reported, Dmytro Pletenchuk was put in charge of the Strategic Communications Center of the Southern Defense Forces on April 22, 2024.
Before his appointment, Pletenchuk was the spokesman of the Ukrainian Navy.
He was appointed shortly after more than 160 representatives of Ukrainian and foreign media signed an address to the military command asking to dismiss Natalya Humeniuk as chief of strategic communications of the Southern Defense Forces.
The media workers said that Natalya Humeniuk was barring them from covering Russia's war crimes in the area she supervises.
