Director of TV and Radio Company "Vizyt" is accused of killing judge, as well

The criminal investigations of the murder of the mayor of Kremenchuk Oleh Babayev and the judge of Avtozavodsky rayon court of Kremenchuk Oleksander Lobodenko were consolidated into one case. This decision was made public by the senior prosecutor Dmytro Khodatenko on a court session on September 11.

The director of Kremenchuk TV company «Vizyt» Oleksander Melnyk, who was earlier accused of organizing the murder of the mayor of Kremenchuk Oleh Babayev, is now also accused of organizing the murder of the judge of Avtozavodsky rayon court of Kremenchuk Oleksander Lobodenko.

In February, an unidentified person fired several shots at Lobodenko, when he was returning home from work. The judge succumbed to the wounds later that night. On July 26, not far from his house the mayor of Kremenchuk Oleh Babayev was shot to death.

On September 4, it became known that several persons were detained on suspicion of murder of the mayor of Kremenchuk Oleh Babayev, including Oleksander Melnyk, the director of the local TV company «Vizyt».

It was commonly known that Babayev tried to seize the local TV company «Vizyt» to communal property, and the judge Lobodenko approved the decision to freeze some of the assets owned by the Melnyk family.
