Director Kostyantyn Petryk killed in combat

Director Kostyantyn Petryk was killed in action while preforming a combat mission on May 27, reports the press office of the Ukrainian State Film Agency (USFA).

The USFA writes that on the onset of Russia's full-scale invasion, Konstantin Petryk voluntarily enlisted in the National Guard, later becoming a platoon commander.

Before the full-scale war, Kostyantyn Petryk worked in filmmaking as an assisting director.

He was involved with the TV shows "Voron and Vorobyov" (2022), "Trickster" (2021), "Angels" (2020), "Brothers by Blood 2" (2020), "The Gardener" (2019), "Journey to the Soul's Core" (2018), "Conquest" (2018), "Other" (2018).

Kostyantyn Petryk's death was confirmed by his wife Anastasia Petryk:

"Kostya died while performing a combat mission. This is an irreparable loss. It is an emptiness in the heart of everyone who knew him. In line forever. All details later. For now just remember him and all those who gave their lives for our Freedom," she wrote.
