Deputy of Zaporizhzhya city council sues journalist for her interview, and demands UAH 25 thousand

Deputy of Zaporizhzhya city council Hennadiy Rekalov sues the editor of the website “Novyi Den” Olena Holota, demanding from her a compensation for moral damages in the amount of UAH 25 thousand. IMI regional correspondent reported this. The lawsuit is about the interview with Valeriy Bezlepkin, the head of the city council’s communal housing department, which was published on the website on March 14, 2015. The interviewee mentioned Rekalov several times, and Rekalov demands compensation for damages this caused to his reputation, from the journalist and from Bezlepkin, too (also in amount of UAH 25 thousand, UAH 50 thousand in total).
