Deputy of Kovel city council accused local journalists of being corrupt

On November 27, at the session of Kovel town council, a deputy from the Electoral Association «Batkivshchyna» Vira Fedosiuk expressed her indignation due to presence of reporters from the recently created online media outlet Kowel.com.ua and accused them of preparing a defaming article on her. She was sure that the journalists were present due to assignment of one of her colleagues, deputy Serhiy Kosharuk, to “besmirch” her.

Relatives of the mobilized military, who were present at the session, assured Vira Fedosiuk that the journalist were there due to their invitation.

The media outlet’s editorial office reminded Fedosiuk that she is a public figure, so attention to her as deputy on the journalists’ part is natural.
