Defense Ministry reports a new Russian psyop regarding the defense of Bakhmut
The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense has recorded another Russian psyop regarding the defense of Bakhmut, Donetsk oblast.
Deputy Minister of Defense, Hanna Malyar, reported this on Telegram.
According to her, the Russians are releasing a large amount of "insider" information about the alleged confrontations between the military command and the political leadership around decisions regarding Bakhmut.
"About the President, Zaluzhny, and Syrsky purportedly having different opinions regarding the Bakhmut decisions. This is not the case," the official emphasized.
Malyar added that the enemy also seeks to discredit the Ground Forces commander, Oleksandr Syrsky, personally by making up different political implications of his warfare decisions, trying to make it seem that the Russians are "defending their own people, and our command has no regard for human life."
"In reality, everything is the opposite. This is evidenced by the losses ratio – theirs are several times bigger – and the tactics of warfare," the deputy Defense Minister stressed.
She explained that the purpose of spreading such information is to sow a debate in Ukrainian society about whether Bakhmut should be defended.
As IMI reported, Russia is focusing on two information campaigns targeting Ukraine.
