Cyber attack affected TV channel "Do TeBe"

Some computers of Donetsk branch of the National Public TV and Radio Company of Ukraine (TV channel  “Do TeBe” and radio “Holos Donbasu” were affected by the large-scale cyber attack. In particular, the virus affected the accounting department’s computers. This was reported on Facebook by the acting executive director of Donetsk branch of the National Public TV and Radio Company of Ukraine Illia Suzdalev, Suspilne Movlennia reports.

“Our production process is completely web-based. To keep the rest of the computers operational, we decided to halt the production process for the moment”, he said. According to him, the only computers working right now are in the broadcasting control room. “We are broadcasting reruns of news and other planned programmed for today. We also cannot update the website”, Illia Suzdalev explained.

As IMI reported, on June 27 the virus Petya affected the media holding of the TV and Radio Company «Lux», which includes the TV channel “24”, the national network of radio stations “Radio Lux” and “Radio Maksymum”, as well as several websites.

The virus also affected the TV channels “Kyiv” and ATR, TV and Radio Company “Chornomorska”, and the TV channel “Do Tebe”.

The editions “Korrespondent” and “KP v Ukraine”, which belong to the Ukrainian Media Holding, also reported temporary problems in operation due to the hacker attack.
