Criminal proceedings were opened on Article 171 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine on the fact of obstructing journalist professional activities of TVi camera-group in Cherkassy near Azot PJSC, according to the website of the Cherkasy Oblast prosecutor’s office.

As noted by the prosecutor's office, on February 4, 2013, the mentioned-above journalists filmed an overall plan of Azot local enterprise, but the guards forbade them to take video.

The information about the event were included into the Unified Register of pre-trial investigations by Prydniprovskiy police department of the Cherkassy region, which determined the legal qualifications for the crime on Part 1 Article 171 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (obstruction of journalistic activities).

The procedural guidance of pre-trial investigation is carried out by the Prosecutor's Office of Cherkassy.
