Crimean activist fined for post in VKontakte in 2013

On July 2, in Sudak (occupied Crimea) Seyra Yemirov, Crimean Tatar activist, was detained due to publication in the social network VKontakte posted in 2013. "The court found him guilty and imposed a fine of 1500 rubles ($23), " as “Detektor Media” informed, citing the “Crimean solidarity”. Seyar Yemirov was charged with extremist. To remind, on 30th of May, in Crimea the officers of the Countering extremism center detained Luftiya Zudiyeva, civil journalist for “Crimean solidarity” association and Mumine Saliyeva, coordinator of the “Crimean childhood” project. The detained persons are charged with displaying banned extremism symbols, entailing administrative arrest. The Ukraine General directorate of the National police in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol instituted the criminal investigation due to illegal detention of Lutfiy Zudiyeva and Mumin Salieva.
