Court upheld lawsuit of Gandzyuk’s father against Kyva and Espresso TV

The Solomyansky court in Kyiv has partially upheld the libel suit filed by the father of killed civic activist Kateryna Gandzyuk Viktor Gandzyuk against Illya Kyva, former advisor of the Minister of the Interior Arsen Avakov, and the Esspero.TV channel (Goldberri Ltd.). This is reported by Hromadske.ua. Thus, the court found inaccurate the information disseminated by Illya Kyva on October 2, 2018 in the program of the Espresso.TV: "I am aware that Gandzyuk had been involved in  embezzlement of municipal funds. The judges ordered to Illya Kyva to refute this statement within 10 calendar days in the program of the "Espresso TV". The court also decided to recover the court fee of 1409,60 UAH ($53) from Ilya Kyva  in favor of Viktor M. Gandzjuk.
