Court refused to provide journalist with information about bomb shelters in Brovary
On February 5, Brovary town district court adjudged unjustified Brovary town council's refusal to provide for journalist Dmytro Karliy information on the number and locations of bomb shelters in the town of Brovary, their status and how well they are prepared for use, and how they were funded from the local budget. Yet, instead of satisfying the claim and having the town council provide full information in response to the journalist's request, the court only had the town council to consider the request again.
Considering importance of the information on protection of population under threat of hostilities, Dmytro Karliy and his lawyer of the Institute of Media Law Vita Volodovska intend to lodge a complaint to the court of appeal.
