Court of Mukacheve sentence local resident to 2 years of jail for impediment to work of NTN journalist

Two years of jail was the sentence to the resident of urban type settlement Chyndiyevo, Zakarpatska oblast, who attacked the journalist of TV channel NTN Yevhen Solomin. Solomin was investigating the story where the man who attacked him later shot two other local residents with non-lethal weapon. The man who was being investigated was enraged and attacked the journalist, too. Solomin is happy that the court finally managed to pass the judgment, and thanked the court and the police - although he says that the prosecutor's office tried to mitigate the sentence by re-qualifying the crime as "hooliganism" instead of impediment to journalist's work.
