Court issued arrest in absentia for owner of ZIK who is suspected of causing lethal traffic accident

Investigative judge of Pecherskyi district court of Kyiv city selected restraining measure in form of arrest to the suspect in causing lethal traffic accident, president of Football Club “Karpaty” and owner of TV channel ZIK, Petro  Dyminskyi. This was reported by Interfax-Ukraina, with reference to General Prosecutor's office of Ukraine. “Based on information of the pre-trial investigation agency, in August of 2017 he left the territory of Ukraine and never returned to the country”, the General Prosecutor's office reports. The accident in question took place On August 18, 2017, when the car Dyminskyi was in got into traffic accident resulting in death of a 31-year-old woman, Natalia Trila. Mass media reported that Dyminskyi was present at the site of the traffic accident, but initially, his security guard Andriy Borshch claimed he was driving. Later, based on DNA sample, it was established that he was not driving on that day.
