Court extended arrest of Vyshinsky till May 24th

On March 26th, the Podilsky district court has extended the arrest of the director of RIA Novyny-Ukraine Kyrylo Vyshinsky till May 24th, as to Liga.net. The judge sustained the request of prosecutor Komarosvsky, saying that Vyshinsky could flee to Russia or occupied territories or inside Russian diplomatic missions.
IMI informed Kyrylo Vyshynsky was sent to Kyiv for trial. Later on, the Podilsky disctrict court in Kyiv is to examine his criminal indictment that the Office of public prosecutor of Crimea referred to Kyiv on March 6.
IMI reported that that Kyrylo Vyshynsky, who worked for news agency RIA Novosti-Ukraine, was arrested in Kiev on May 15, 2018. He had been be charged with high treason for his “subversive” reporting to justify Moscow’s 2014 annexation of Crimea.
