On February 20th, thecourt of Zarichny in Sumy dismissed the libel lawsuit filed by the headquarter of Anatoliy Grytsenko, candidate for the presidency, against the TV channel UA:Sumy, as to “UA:Public broadcasting”.
Grytsenko sued the TV channel for a story aired on February 14th, revealing some anti-corruption investigations. Grytsenko blamed the TV channel for breach to election law and demanded to recognize the information spread I the TV story as untruthful. He demanded to pay moral damage in a sum of 2 350 hryvnias (approximately $ 86).
The appeal could be filed within two days.
