Court dismissed claim of Nataliya Sedletska, editor in chief of "Schemes", against court ruling on access to her telephone

Photo credits: screenshot from "Schemes: corruption in details" program On March 28th, the Dictrict administrative court in Kyiv fully dismissed the lawsuit filed by Nathaliya Sedletska, RFE/RL journalist, author and host of the program “Schemes: corruption in details”, against the head of administrative office of Pechersk district court in Kyiv due to denial to provide her with copy of court ruling on access to data on her telephone, as it is reported on the web-site of the judicial authoroties. To remind, the plaintiff filed claim asking to acknowledge as contrary to law the ruling of the court denying to provide her with copy of the document authorizing to give access to data on her calls and sms-messages. IMI informed that on August 27th, 2018 the Pechersk district court in Kyiv approved to give access to data from mobile service providers about calls and sms-messages of Natalia Sedletska to the General prosecutor’s office. The prosecutor-general’s office said the information was part of a criminal investigation into the alleged disclosure of state secrets by Director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine Artem Sytnyk during a meeting with journalists last year. Sedletska, along with other journalists, is a witness in the case.
