Court banned "Censor.net" editor-in-chief from leaving the country

17.06.2016, 15:28

Darnytskyi district court of Kyiv satisfied the executive service’ request for temporary restriction for the editor-in-chief of the media outlet “Censor.net” Yuriy Butusov in his right to leave Ukraine. This became known from the judgement approved on May 26, Glavkom reports.

The reason for imposing the restriction was failure to follow the judgement of the same court as of December 22, 2015, binding the media outlet to publish refutation of its last year publication about the company "Promtovarnyi rynok" (owner of the largest in Eastern Europe market "7th kilometer”). The article accused the market administration of corrupt practices. Yet the claim was not about that, but about the article’s last paragraph, which stated that the market’s profits were used to support "Luhansk People's Republic".
