Pechersky rayon court of the city of Kyiv arrested Artem Furmaniuk, one of those suspected of the disorders near the building of the Verkhovna Rada on August 31, for 60 days. The court came to this decision on September 2. This was made public by the press secretary of the Prosecutor’s Office of Kyiv Nadia Maksymets, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
On August 31, protesters under the building of the Verkhovna Rada were using smoke-puff charges and threw a grenade, which wounded several dozens police officers, and as of September 1, three officers of the National Guard succumbed to their wounds in city hospitals.
