Shevchenkivskyi district court of Kyiv city permitted detention of chief editor of media outlet “Strana.ua” Ihor Huzhva, so that the court could change the restriction measure for him - from bail to arrest. This was reported by Radio Liberty, with reference to the PR representative of Ukraine, Andriy Lysenko.
According to him, the next court session is scheduled for February 12.
As IMI reported before, Ihor Huzhva left the territory of Ukraine and requested political asylum in Austria. He considers staying in Ukraine a threat to his life and health, as he reported receiving threats, and also reminded that five criminal cases were initiated against him.
The Prosecutor's Office stated that it prepares to put Huzhva on international red list to arrest him and return him to Ukraine.
