The Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights received 38 appeals about violations of the right to access public information from Ternopil oblast on January 1 to March 21, 2025, the Commissioner’s representative in Ternopil, Oleksandr Krynytskyi, reports to to the regional Institute of Mass Information representative Iryna Nebesna.

This number of appeals was registered in the digital document management system Megapolis.DocNet.

In particular, one of these appeals was a complaint by the 20 Khvylyn team against the Ternopil City Council: the did not provide all the requested data on officials’ salaries. Only after appealing to the Commissioner did the media outlet learn the figures they needed.

The Commissioner’s office could not say whom most complaints were about since they do not keep such records.

As previously reported, the Commissiner received 120 such complaints from Ternopil oblast in 2024.
