Chornomorka TV closed program that exposed non-payment of salaries to TV employees

29.01.2013, 13:24
The leadership of Chornomorska TV-Radio Company removed from the air “Potomu Chto” program, the author and anchor of which is Volodymyr Andronaki, a famous Crimean journalist, Sobytiya Kryma report.

According to the edition, in his program, Andronaki highlighted problems with long-lasting non-payment of salaries to Chornomorska TV employees. Therefore, the closing of his program looks like a revenge from the TV-company management.

According to Andronaki, the order to remove the program from the air was signed by TV executive director Larisa Nesterchuk. "My program was closed, but in the morning they were waiting for me with a stopwatch - checking whether I will come later than 9 am. Well, they also started to press me morally: my job now – is to record announcements about missing dogs. I work, I have no crown," - said the journalist.

“Potomu Chto” program used to ironically describe the events that occurred in the country and in the Crimea. During the last year, when the television started to have problems with financing, it was broadcasted only once a week - on Tuesdays.

As IMI reported earlier, employees of Chornomorska TV, which is controlled by oppositional MPs Andriy Senchenko and Lyudmila Denysova, announced their intention to appeal to the local prosecutor’s office and to sue the administration due to non-payment of wages.
