Chernivtsi University refused journalist's request about management's salaries

The rectorate of Chernivtsi National University refused a request submitted by a local journalist of Hromadske Radio and the Anti-corruption portal Nadia Babynska about the information in regard of their salaries, bonuses, extra wahes, and financial assistance. Babynska submitted the request on February 24. This was reported by the regional correspondent of IMI. Babynska referred to the Law “On Access to Public Information” but the refusal contained no references to any laws, it onlu stated that the owners of this information do not want to disclose it. The journalist believes this is against the law and is now suing the University.
