Channel 5 “rigged” again
On July 21, unidentified persons made another call to the city police about a bomb in the office of Channel 5 in Kyiv, and its broadcasting was suspended temporarily. This was reported on Тwitter by the Channel 5 journalist Olha Snisarchuk. The police officers and EOD specialists swept both the office building and the adjacent territory and found no explosives.
After an hour and a half, the channel resumed broadcasting.
This was already the fifth time this month, the previous calls about a bomb happened on July 4, 15, 17, and 19. Each time there was no bomb but, nevertheless, the channel’s staff had to be evacuated out of safety considerations and the channel’s broadcasting was suspended.
