Chairman of Parliament appealed to SSU and GPO as to Klyuyev and Shariy as candidates for election

03.07.2019, 14:50
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy asked the Prosecutor general's office, the Security service of Ukraine and the State border guard service to provide an information on the  place of residence during last five years of Anatoliy Shariy, Andriy Klyuyev and Renata Kuzmin, who have been registered as candidates or the early parliamentary election. Andriy Parubiy told it on 3rd of July at the morning parliamentary session, as to the Verkhovna rada website. "Yesterday, executing the disgraceful decision of the court, the Central election commission decided to register as candidates for parliamentary election Russian propagandist Anatoliy Shariy and the head of the Yanukovych’s presidential administration Andriy Klyuyev, who was directly involved in the bloody crackdown of the Maydan and in shooting of the protesters of the Revolution of Dignity. What’s next? Yanukovych to be nominated somewhere in the single mandate district! " Parubiy said. Parubiy told "this is a flagrant violation of both the law and justice, as it is evident they have not been in Ukraine for the last five years." He said that he requested the GPO, the SSU and the SBGS to provide an information, whether these persons have been residing in Ukraine during the last five years, to verify when and under what circumstances they left Ukraine and whether their return has been recorded. "This will give the CEC an reason to revoke their registration," Parubiy said. IMI informed, on July 2, the Central election commission registered the blogger Anatoliy Sharia and the former head of the Presidential administration of Viktor Yanukovych Andriy Klyuyev as candidates for early elections to the Verkhovna Rada. On June 24, the CEC refused to register Anatoly Shariya and Andrii Klyuyev. The reason for the refusal was failure to comply with the requirements of the Constitution and the law on residence in Ukraine during the last five years. On July 2, in Kyiv on the Independence Square (Maydan), a hundreds of persons gathered against the decision of the CEC to register candidates Andriy Klyuyev and Anatoly Shariy.
