The Cabinet of Ministers fired the director general of the Concern for Radio Broadcasting, Radio Communication and TV Oleksander Pivniuk. According to the Minister of Informational Policy Yuriy Stets, Pivniuk was the person undermining restoration of broadcasting of Ukrainian TV channels and radio stations in the East, and also facilitated broadcasting of Russian channels and channels of so-called "DPR" and "LPR" on the occupied territories. Also, according to Stets, the Cabinet of Ministers resolved to form a special governmental commission that will, within 10 days, assess Pivniuk's actions and, if needed, address law enforcement agencies to start criminal proceeding against him.
