Broadcasters disobeying Donetsk pseudo-republic face death
The militant supporters of the so-called People's Republic of Donetsk threat to kill broadcast journalists that refuse to obey the DRP leadership, an IMI representative in Donetsk reports.
"It is a serious threat. Over a hundred terrorists have blocked the work of regional television. They have lots of weapons and explosives. Ukrainian journalists are considered enemies, they work in warlike conditions," the press woman of the Donetsk Regional State Administration Olena Malyutina said as quoted by Hromadske TV.
She said Donetsk was pretty quiet otherwise. People work, preparation for the health season for children is underway - although there are suspicions about the threat to their security.
The ultimatum that the so-called DNR leaders have announced ordering all local officials and civil servants to swear allegiance to the self-proclaimed pseudo-republic expires on May 14.
