Blogger from Kostiantynivka got released from terrorists’ captivity

25.06.2014, 22:58

On June 21, volunteers managed to get Artur Holubiev, a blogger from Kostiantynivka (Donetska oblast), released from the terrorists’ captivity. On June 5, he was taken hostage by the representatives of the terrorist organization “Donetsk People’s Republic”.

Artur’s father is a pro-Ukrainian activist and together with his son he posted in social networks calls to unity of Ukraine. Local separatists took notice of these posts and came to the Holubievs. They took Artur and demanded that his father surrendered himself for his son’s release but later released Artur without any conditions.

They forced the young man to say on camera that he was a Right Sector’s member.

Currently he is in a safe place outside Donetska oblast.

It is believed that Donetsk People’s Republic and Luhansk People’s Republic still keep several hundred hostages.
