"Berkut" threw stones at protesters - Kometari journalist injured
On November 30, in Kyiv, on Instytutska Street Berkut fighters were throwing stones at protesters. One of the stones hit the correspondent of the Komentari magazine Dmytro Kachur, the magazine’s website informs.
According to the journalist, people were trying to talk to Berkut fighters but they just started throwing stones and other stuff at them, and one of the stones hit him in the back.
This took place near the October Palace where several hundred police officers were gathered.
In the morning, the police took Maidan Nezalezhnosti under control by forcing rally participants out.
There were reports of 35 injured, among which two citizens of Poland. In the process, 35 persons were detained but later they were allowed to leave.
Kyiv police opened two criminal investigations based on these facts.
